“Mad Money,” a comedy that steals your heart with the trio of Diane Keaton as Bridget Cardigan the energetic wife of the now out of work corporate money-maker husband Don (Ted Danson) , Queen Latifah as Nina the hardworking single mom of two bright boys just wanting to give them a good education, and Katie Holmes as Jackie the loveable ditzy free spirit; and their zany road to felony stealing from the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank, where all three work.

After Bridget’s (Keaton) husband Don (Danson) can’t find work in over a year, and they are on the brink of losing their home, she takes a job as a janitor at the KC Federal Reserve Bank. Being around all that money has her plotting a scheme on how to do away with some of the out of service bills instead of their end in the shredding machine. Nina (Latifah) brings a delightful reality to the movie with outstanding acting. Jackie (Holmes) is great as the comically sweet referee between Keaton’s and Latifah’s characters.

There are unexpected parts to the movie that will keep you pleasantly surprised until the end. It is heart-warming and funny and has you cheering for all three women and rooting for them to succeed. It is definitely a must see for anyone that works a 9 to 5 job and feels like they are not getting ahead in the end.
