The new thriller movie “Eagle Eye” made its way to the top of the box office in North America by pulling in more than $29 million during its opener weekend in theatres. The movie stars Shia LaBeouf who recently played in the hit action movie “Transformers”. “Eagle Eye” is a terrific movie that leaves you on the edge of your seat.
“Eagle Eye” didn’t get to the top without a little competition from the new romance movie “Nights in Rodanthe”. The new movie stars Diane Lane and Richard Gere. It opened in second place with $13.6 million. In third place was “Lakeview Terrace” at $7 million.
This was a 53 percent drop fro “Lakeview Terrace” from last week’s numbers when it was in the number one spot. It was a movie that people were interested in seeing and were hoping that it would impress. However, it was a letdown for many who were hoping to see a more involved plot not a simple fight that could have been solved by a simple move down the block.
