Fergie Cast In New Musical

Fergie is happy to share her big news. She has been chosen to play a role in the up coming musucal “Nine”. She will be playing Saraghina the prostitute where she will perform “Be Italian” with Guido (who will be played by Daniel Day-Lewis).

“She’s basically a prostitute on the beach,” Fergie told The Associated Press in an interview. “She introduces him to the world of sexuality. It’s a very strong song. I’m just thrilled I get to play a character. I’m singing, but I’m not singing as myself. I’m going to be singing as a character, and that’s what’s really exciting to me.”

“Tropic Thunder” Will Have You Begging For More

Ben Stiller is coming out with a new comedy/war movie in which he stars, co-writes, co-produces, and directs. The new movie “Tropic Thunder” opens in theaters August 13th and makes fun of pampered actors who need not only acting lessons - but life lessons in order to make their new war movie believable.

“Sex And The City” Movie Sequel In The Works?

Rumor has it there is going to be a sequel to the new movie “Sex and the City”. We honestly didn’t think that the entertainment industry would consider another movie after the first one only brought in $57 million during the opening weekend and quickly went downhill after that.

The news has yet to be confirmed and because the first movie is still in theatres it might take some time before they officially make their decision. As for us we think that people have better time to watch yet another movie about sex.

Steve Carrell Shows Off In His New 007 Role

Steve Carrell was interviewed recently to promote his new movie “Get Smart” where he plays a bumbling secret agent who can’t seem to do anything right. During the interview his sits alongside his costar – Anne Hathaway – where they both talk about their on-screen kiss. Carrell seems to blush they more they talk about it.

“Making out with him is the yummiest, lollipop, dipped-in-sunshine experience,” Hathaway begins. “Give me a break,” Carell interrupts, looking like he might jump off a ledge.

Jack Black Backs Out Of New Comedy Role

Jack Black has backed out of the supernatural comedy film “Man-Witch”. He was set to play the title role – which he accepted in 2007. It would have been the first time that Black would have worked together with Todd Phillips – the man who has released such movies as “Borat” and “Old School”.

“Man-Witch” centers on a man who discovers he’s a witch and heads off to teach at a female witch school; Phillips is set to produce and, likely, to direct the Warner Brothers project.

M. Night Shyamalan To Release First Rated-R Movie

Many of us have seen the thrilling and in-depth movies that have been created from the brilliant mind of M. Night Shymamalan – but will we be prepared for his next big movie? ‘The Happening’ starring Mark Whalberg and Zoey Deschanel is one of the more graphic movies that he has made since ‘The Sixth Sense’ and is his first Rated-R film.

“Da Vinci Code” Sequel In The Works

“Angels and Demons” the sequel to “The Da Vinci Code” is currently in production and is set to be released sometime in 2009. Akiva Goldsman was paid $3.8 million to adapt the Dan Brown novel for the big screen.

However, it’s said the sequel will not be an original story, but will actually be based on Angels and Demons, the book which precedes The Da Vinci Code. Sources claim the plot, which sees cryptologist Robert Langdon, played by Tom Hanks, help a woman to discover the links between her father’s death and secret society conspiracies, will be altered so that it can follow on from the first film.

Leonardo DiCaprio To Star In ‘Atari’

Leonardo DeCaprio will be starring in the new Paramount Pictures film ‘Atari’. The film written by Craig Sherman and Brian Hecker is a biopic that follows the life of Nolan Bushnell – the creator of Atari.

Bushnell founded Atari in 1972 with the help of Ted Dabney. Together the two men brought arcade games to life and paved the way for home computers and videogame consoles. They created games like Pong and Atari 2600.

‘The Mandarin’ To Be Nemesis In ‘Iron Man’ Sequel

Director Jon Favreau is pleased with the reaction that he received from ‘Iron Man’ and the fact that it was able to hold the number one spot in the box office for one to two weeks. Now he is already making plans for the sequel and has given us a few hints as to the superhero’s new enemy will be.
