Fergie Cast In New Musical

Fergie is happy to share her big news. She has been chosen to play a role in the up coming musucal “Nine”. She will be playing Saraghina the prostitute where she will perform “Be Italian” with Guido (who will be played by Daniel Day-Lewis).

“She’s basically a prostitute on the beach,” Fergie told The Associated Press in an interview. “She introduces him to the world of sexuality. It’s a very strong song. I’m just thrilled I get to play a character. I’m singing, but I’m not singing as myself. I’m going to be singing as a character, and that’s what’s really exciting to me.”

“Tropic Thunder” Will Have You Begging For More

Ben Stiller is coming out with a new comedy/war movie in which he stars, co-writes, co-produces, and directs. The new movie “Tropic Thunder” opens in theaters August 13th and makes fun of pampered actors who need not only acting lessons - but life lessons in order to make their new war movie believable.

“Dark Knight” Sets New Record In Box Office

“The Dark Knight” is proving to be this summer’s hottest blockbuster as it is pushing all other movies out of its way. It has already pulled in $300 million in only 10 days. “Mamma Mia!” Is Out Of Control

“Mamma Mia!” is the new musical starring Meryl Streep and full of some of the best hits from ABBA. Meryl Streep puts her vocals to work in the movie and she does it beautiful and with ease. The director Phyllida Lloyd finessed the corny set-ups and refused to treat the product like a blockbuster, the results were very sweet and even moving.

Leonardo DiCaprio To Bring “Twilight Zone” To The Big Screen

DiCaprio is working with Warner Bros. and his own production company Appian Way to bring to life one of his favorite shows - “The Twilight Zone”. They are looking to combine together several episodes from the show into one hit movie.

The studio and production company are quietly putting out word that they’re looking for pitches and script ideas based on the show for feature development. The companies don’t aim to make an episodic movie like the 1983 “Twilight Zone,” the only big-screen version of the series, but rather hope to build one continuing story line based on one or more episodes.

“Dark Knight” Destroys Box Office On Opening Weekend

The new Batman movie “The Dark Knight” has set a new record at the box office by taking in more then $155.34 million in its first weekend alone. The movie beat out the $151.1 million that was made by “Spider-man 3”.

“We knew it would be big, but we never expected to dominate the marketplace like we did,” Fellman said. The movie should shoot past the $200 million mark by the end of the week, he said. Factoring in higher admission prices, however, “Spider-Man 3″ may have sold slightly more tickets than “The Dark Knight.”

“The Dark Knight” Is A Movie You Don’t Want To Miss

“The Dark Knight” arrives in theatres today and the new movie brings to light a new kind of villain. In this sequel Batman (Christian Bale) must go head to head with the psychotic Joker (Heath Ledger).

The first-ever comic-book-inspired epic, Nolan’s sequel blows right past “Batman Begins”—and every other superhero movie ever made—to decimate all preconceived notions about just how accomplished these types of films can be. Impeccably acted, morally complex and crafted with across-the-board technical virtuosity, “The Dark Knight” emerges fully formed as an American crime-movie classic.

Yet, film critics and Oscar watchers are under the impression that fans feel that way because of all the hype that has surrounded the actor since his death. They hope that the actor might be honored with an Academy Award - but it doesn’t seem to be in the cards.
