‘Good Luck Chuck’ Doesn’t Quite Make It

“Good Luck Chuck” looked like such a funny movie with alot of potential when you watch the trailer. But than trailers are deceiving. In “Good Luck Chuck,” Jessica Alba resumes her fearless quest to make someone, somewhere, laugh. For this occasion, she plays a sweet dingbat being pursued by Dane Cook. That he wants her at all testifies to Alba’s appeal as a cover girl, not her prowess as a comedian.

‘Sex And The City’ Comes To The Big Screen

Get ready ladies! One of your favorite steamy late night shows is coming to the big screen. No it’s not ‘Desperate Housewives’(not yet). It has been given its dues and earned its spot. ‘Sex and the City’ has worked its way onto TV and not is ready to take on the big guys.

‘3:10′ To Yuma Takes You For A Good Ride

James Mangold’s “3:10 to Yuma” is an amazing western movie that we haven’t seen for some years now. The Western in its glory days was often a morality play, a story about humanist values penetrating the lawless anarchy of the frontier.

It still follows that tradition in films like Eastwood’s “The Unforgiven,” but the audience’s appetite for morality plays and Westerns seems to be fading. Here the quality of the acting, and the thought behind the film, make it seem like a vanguard of something new, even though it’s a remake of a good movie 50 years old.
