‘Evan Almighty’

We all remember ” Bruce Almighty” and how funny it was to see God(Morgan Freeman) giving him his powers. And of course we all loved to see what Bruce did with those powers and we couldn’t get enough of it. Well now it’s Evan’s turn and we are all hoping that things will be just as crazy and hilarious.

‘Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer’

“Fantastic Four” was a movie that did not impress most people. It was corny, pointless, and the only people that did a good job was Johnny “The Human Torch” and Doc Doom. That is why we were hoping that the sequel would be much better. The trailers had us convinced, but what about the movie?

‘Harry Potter And The Order Of The Pheonix’ Trailer

As his fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry approaches, 15-year-old Harry Potter is in full-blown adolescence, complete with regular outbursts of rage, a nearly debilitating crush, and the blooming of a powerful sense of rebellion. It’s been yet another infuriating and boring summer with the despicable Dursleys, this time with minimal contact from our hero’s non-Muggle friends from school. Harry is feeling especially edgy at the lack of news from the magic world, wondering when the freshly revived evil Lord Voldemort will strike.

Seacrest Shows His Other Side In ‘Knocked Up’

Ryan Seacrest is known as a lot of things, the host of ”American Idol” ringmaster, radio deejay, E! channel host, but funny guy’s not one of them. Which makes his scene-stealing cameo in “Knocked Up” such an amusing surprise to everyone who watched it. Even more so because he’s the butt of the joke.

‘Georgia Rule’

The problem with this movie lies in the hands of Garry Marshall, the director, and Mark Andrus, the writer.  It fails to go anywhere despite the amazing actors that were cast for this movie. The moviemakers do manage to give their stars a lot of big, dramatic moments where they can scream, cry, laugh or make startling confessions. The movie starts in high emotional gear and stays there.

‘Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer’ Trailer

The sequel to the Fantastic Four is here and everyone’s heroes are back for another round. Yet, this time they’re not the only super-powered beings to be found on earth. When an unknown object is headed to Earth the military calls on the four super-heroes to find out what it is. But things take a turn for the worst when they discover that the object is an unusual creature called the Silver Surfer.

‘Gracie’

“Gracie,” which is set in 1978 in New Jersey, is based on the real-life experiences of actress Elisabeth Shue. When she tried to join her high school varsity soccer team, she was told to go off and do something feminine. Like field hockey. It was obviously an all-boys team and there was no girls’ soccer team. As was the case at many high schools across the country.

‘The Departed’ Better Then Expected

The Departed a crime drama directed by Martin Scorsese brought in almost $27 million and dominated the weekend box office.  Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson and Mark Wahlberg in a tale of subterfuge and betrayal between Boston cops and Irish mobsters, The Departed represents a new personal milestone for Scorsese.

‘Evan Almighty’ Trailer

When we first saw Evan Baxter he was being toyed with by Bruce Nolan (’Bruce Almighty’)in front of millions of people on their TV news station. Yet, as time went by Evan has moved on to do bigger and better things with his life. Evan left Buffalo to live in Washington D.C. after he was elected congressman and beleives that he has a higher calling there. Praying to change the world, Evan, receives a visit from God who will help him to pursue that very dream.

‘Shrek The Third’

The movie was a wholesale rejection of glossy cartoon cheer and the general Disneyification of fairy tales, and, seemingly, came from nowhere. Its weave of barbed pop-culture jokes and emotional sincerity had been available on “The Simpsons” for years, but “Shrek” made it seem workable at the movies.

The second installment, “Shrek 2,” unbraided the gags from the feeling, tipping the balance to gleeful cynicism, which, while fun to watch, was discomforting. It seemed to come to the filmmakers much more easily than the story’s emotional dimensions.
